KEMBLE SCHOLARSHIP

The Kemble Airport Flying Scholarship was successfully completed by all ten youngsters. The two week course provided five hours of flying training for each student and an introduction to all the activities at Kemble.

The scholarship has been funded by Airport owner Ronan Harvey who is himself a former aircraft engineer. He says "the aviation and aerospace industry in the UK is vital to the economy and we need to encourage young people to be aware of opportunities within it."

Airport Manager David Young said: "I am really grateful to all the people at Kemble who have voluntarily supported this important project, especially the fly2help team, and the fact we have pulled this off speaks volumes about the aerodrome.
